Sunday's rain did not put a damper on the memorial for eight girl scouts and two leaders who were killed fifty years ago.

Family and friends of the victims, plus girls scouts planted fifty daffodils and laid wreaths at the scene of the crash, on Factory Road.  The scouts were killed back in 1959, when a train plowed into their station wagon.  They were returning to Beavercreek, after a reading merit badge event in Xenia.
The scene of the crash is now a memorial in honor of the victims called Angels Pass.  It was built on the 40th anniversary of the crash.
