DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - In response to what some consider to be a disappointing season, the University of Dayton bsaketball team recently heard the sound of boos.
Some fans booed the players at Saturday's game as they left the court at halftime and after the game.
That's a development that has Flyers Coach Brian Gregory concerned, and he reacted in a post-game interview after Tuesday nights game against George Washington.
"I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't say how disappointed I was and how gut-wrenching it was for those guys to run off the court at halftime and get the response from some of those fans on Saturday night - and, to be honest, by some fans during the year at other times," said Gregory.
Before the season started, the Flyers (20-11) were picked to be, if not the winner, at least near the top of the Atlantic 10 Confernece.
