FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - A Fairborn H.S. graduate is in critical condition at an Arkon hospital after being severely beaten.

Police said the 2005 grad and star athlete Chris Kernich was attacked on Sunday in what police are calling an unprovoked assault.

Kernich played football, baseball, and basketball and currently attends Kent State University.

Two men from Akron have been arrested for the attack and could face eight years in prison.
