HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - Hours after Braxton Miller signed a letter of intent to play football for Ohio State, Huber Heights Police arrested his mother for assault.
Kelly Miller, 42, was picked up by Huber Heights Police after they were called the family's Troy Villas Boulevard home around 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 3.
Braxton Miller's older brother, Breyon, called 911 and told dispatchers his mother had gone "crazy" and was attacking everyone in the house. He also said she was armed with a knife.
According to the police report, Braxton was home during the incident but, broke down in tears when questioned by officers.
Bailey Miller, Braxton's older sister, told investigators the altercation stemmed from an argument earlier in the day.
According to the report, she also told police, "that in the fight she was repeatedly struck. She also stated that her mother assaulted her father Kevin, and brother, Braxton".
Family members told officers that Kelly Miller suffers from a mental illness and did not take her medication. Initially, Huber Heights officers took her to the hospital for help, but but according to the report she became unruly and punched a police officer.
