DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - School levies on the ballot Tuesday, for the most part, took a beating.

In Miamisburg, the substitute levy passed 58 to 42 percent. However, those same voters made it very clear they are not willing to pay extra taxes. A request for an additional levy was defeated 53 to 47 percent.

In Clark County, voters rejected an income tax and bond issue for Northeastern Schools 61 to 39 percent.

In Warren County, a levy for Little Miami Schools was defeated 55 to 45 percent.

In Butler County, there is good news for Madison schools, where voters renewed the levy there 58 to 42 percent.

In Darke County, the Greenville Schools were hoping to pass a bond issue and tax levy to pay for school construction. Voters rejected that proposal 57 to 43 percent.
