DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 News Today has 5 things you need to know for the weekend, August 18 and 19.

The Springfield family of a Colorado movie theater massacre victim is asking for your help this weekend.
Matthew McQuinn was killed last month when he shielded his girlfriend Samantha Yowler from the bullets.
She was shot in the leg but survived.
A fundraising event will be held Saturday in Urbana to help cover expenses.

You can dump your unused chemicals and paints during a hazardous waste collection at Welcome Stadium on Saturday.

A Baby Fair will be held at Southview Medical Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Washington Township Fire Department will conduct car seat safety checks and hand out safety kits.

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force will celebrate National Aviation Day with famly activities Saturday.

The University of Dayton will welcome its largest incoming freshman class.
Move in day is Saturday so drivers will want to avoid that area.
