WEST CARROLTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Budget cuts have ground 4th of July fireworks in West Carrollton and Moraine.

Friday, city officials said they've cancelled the display because it costs too much.

West Carrollton Mayor, Jeff Sanner said he didn't think it was right to spend $25,000 on fireworks and the required police and fire overtime.

However, West Carrollton will have it's annual Summerfest on June 26th.
