TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Trotwood police released video of a two county chase that injured two officers.

It happened December 18, 2009 when officers spotted a car that they said had been involved in an armed robbery in the Trotwood Target store parking lot.

In the chase, the suspects led police from Trotwood into Preble County at speeds of more than 80 mph.

Before the chase came to an end, a police cruiser and a sheriff's deputy's car crashed into each other.

"This was a fluke," said Trotwood Capt. John Porter. It's hard to speculate on what the deputy was thinking at the time."

Police finally got the duo stopped on a dirt road where they were arrested.

Porter said no one was seriously injured and the suspects went to jail.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the cruiser crash.
