NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans-based Textron Marine & Land Systems says it has received a $5.5 million contract award from the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command to provide 12 armored turrets, technical support services, vehicle repairs and spare parts for the Colombian Army's Armored Personnel Carriers.

Textron Senior Vice President and General Manager Tom Walmsley says the contract is an example of the company's capability as a "full-spectrum armored vehicle provider."

Headquartered in Providence, R.I., Textron Inc. is known for its unmanned aircraft systems, advanced marine craft, armored vehicles, intelligent battlefield and surveillance systems, intelligence software solutions, precision smart weapons, piston engines, test and training systems, and total life cycle sustainment and operational services.
