LYSANDER, N.Y. (AP) — An Ohio-based company that supplies the dairy industry plans to build a fruit processing plant outside Syracuse that will employ up to 120 people.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office says AGRANA Fruit US will build the $50 million plant in the Radisson Corporate Park in the Onondaga County town of Lysander, 10 miles northwest of Syracuse. The company expects to break ground next month.

Brecksville, Ohio-based AGRANA makes fruit preparations for dairy products, including yogurt. The company is getting a $600,000 grant and $2 million in tax credits from the state.

State officials say New York's growing industry played a key role in AGRANA's decision to build its fourth U.S. plant in an upstate location. There are 29 yogurt production plants in New York.
