DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Players from the Tipp City Raptors youth baseball team
are "pitching in" to help less fortunate kids in the Miami Valley.

The team of 13 -year-olds know there are a lot of kids out there that are not as fortunate, so the team put their heads together and decided to donate baseball equipment to the Dayton Urban League and the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton.

"We kind of grouped together and thought 'what could we do to help the community'? and the idea kinda popped in." Said player BJ Donathan

"We're really proud of them. Tipp city is really proud of them." Said Raptors coach Brad Donathan.

Urban League Education Director Sharmin Black said the gift will put a smile on young faces.
"This is so awesome. This is just such a amazing surprise. I know that we have
so many young people that will benefit from the good equipment." She said.
