DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - About two weeks ago Ravella Lawson, the Kitchen Manager at Miamisburg Junior High School emailed me writing about a very special person on her staff, Susan Orndorf. Susan works in the kitchen helping to cook and feed over one thousand students everyday.

While she enjoys her life, the last year has been rocky. Cancer which had been in remission for over twenty years reemerged last September. "Its been difficult, my husband lost his job the day I was diagnosed... to be the only one working and then be diagnosed with breast cancer has been really tough."

While going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments Susan made it to work everyday keeping a great attitude. So Ravella her boss and friend wanted to surprise one of my biggest fans... with me. Ravella set up a surprise party by pretending it was a get together to celebrate the end of the school year.

After surprising Susan and having plenty of laughs she only had one final request before I had to leave. "I gotta ask something, can I feel your head? You know its good luck to feel a bald mans head"
Of course I said yes. Reporting, Erik Zarnitz Two News on yourside.
