Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) - The Dayton Dragons enjoyed their 814th consecutive sell-out at Fifth-Third Field on Saturday.  This ties the organization for the all-time sports sell-out streak record.

The record of 814 consecutive sold-out dates is held by the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association.  The Trail Blazers streak started in 1977 and extended into 1995.

Fans we spoke with were not surprised by the organization tieing the record.

"You can't go to a place with better entertainment," said Carl Wouedell, a Dayton Dragon season ticket holder.

"Its the whole atmosphere.  Dayton Dragon games have the full entertainment package.  It is not just a baseball game," said Mike Belcher, a season ticket holder.

The Dragons plan on breaking the record when they play the South Bend Silver Hawks Saturday, July 9, 2011.
