DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN)) - A new resource center is now open at Dayton Children's hospital to help families with research, diagnosis and treatment.
The MeadWestvaco Family Resource Center features private computer stations, a children's area, informational DVDs in multiple languages and easy access to hospital staff and volunteers.
"It's an amazing space that's free and open to anyone in the community that needs information about children's health issues, diagnosis perhaps of a child," said Vicki Giambrone, VP of External Relations, Dayton Children's.
"It's just another example of the Dayton community coming together and rising to a challenge to fulfill a need. It is truly all that's good about Dayton," said Neil McLachlan, President, MeadWestvaco.
The MeadWestvaco Foundation donated $150,000 for the center.
It's located near the the aquarium in Dayton Children's main lobby.
