SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - The Ohio National Guard is getting into the health care business.
Guard Care 2012 will offer free health screenings to underserved communities.
The screenings will be offered in Clark County on July 28 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and July 29 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Clark County Combined Health District at 529 East Home Rd. in Springfield.
State and local governments and private partners work together to offer the free service.
Guard Care 2012, is the creation of a unique partnership between the Ohio Adjutant General’s Department, Ohio Department of Health, the Springfield Regional Medical Center, the Clark County Combined Health District , Jewish Hospital and local community agencies.
Guard Care gives guard members an opportunity to train.
Services are provided by certified physicians and trained medical personnel.
Some of the services include physicals, lab tests, immunizations for children, various adult immunizations, dental, vision and hearing screenings.
