Geauga County healthiest in Ohio

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two counties in the Miami Valley made Ohio's Top 10 list of healthiest counties for 2013.

That's from a new report released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The group's mission is to improve the health and healthcare of all Americans.

25 factors were used to determine overall health in Ohio, including obesity, smoking, physical inactivity and mental health.

Here are the rankings from counties in the Dayton region beginning with most healthy.

6. Mercer
8. Warren
14. Greene
15. Auglaize
22. Darke
25. Shelby
34. Miami
36. Butler
40. Preble
45. Logan
47. Champaign
72. Clark
74. Montgomery

Geauga County was ranked as the healthiest of Ohio's 88 counties.
