CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - School districts are once again battling voters over tax dollars.
School levies are a tough sell amongst local voters and Tuesday's election may no exception.
Districts like Centerville were gathered to watch the results unfold. Early votes show the district's additional tax levy failing by about 500 votes, but only a percentage of the votes were tallied as of 9:15 pm. The race tightened as the evening progressed to a 50-50 tie at 11:30 pm. Centerville has a long string of levy victories, so a defeat would be rare.
Other larger districts in the area with levies on the ballot include Beavercreek, Vandalia-Butler, Huber Heights, Fairborn and Xenia.
