TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - Miami County election officials were dealing with a problem on the eve of Election Day.
A board representative told 2 NEWS that a mistake was made in the mailing of absentee ballots.
All of Miami County's BOE workers were called in Monday evening to work on the problem.
They say 177 absentee ballots were never mailed, blaming a vendor's mistake in preparing the ballots.
Another 209 voters received double ballots.
The board workers spent the night calling those people who requested an absentee ballot, but did not get one. They urged them to show up and vote on Election Day at their precinct.
Workers will also be on the lookout for anyone who might vote twice with the extra ballot they received in the mail.
Those voters were also contacted. Some have already returned their duplicate ballot.
