Nathalie joined WDTN in January of 2012 as host/producer of “Living Dayton” a one-of-a-kind, local lifestyle talk show. Prior to joining WDTN, Nathalie was working and living in her native Los Angeles as a multi-platform host. Nathalie hosted for E! Entertainment and The Insider, and worked as a red carpet correspondent for GBK Productions and Agenda Magazine’s online entertainment site.
To flex her creative muscles, Nathalie created, hosted, wrote, and edited her own one-woman webseries, "WhyWorld with Nathalie Basha", that looks into the origins of why we do, say, and believe things in modern popular culture. She researched topics in every day life (like why the modern witch flies on a broom) and worked closely with the history department of her Alma Mater, the University of Colorado at Boulder for historical accuracy. Each episode was crazy, fun, witty, and educational!
After several prestigious internships, including CNN and Extra, Nathalie went on to pursue a degree in broadcast news at the University of Colorado at Boulder. There, she honed her skills as a backpack journalist, learning how to write, film, edit, and report her own pieces, as well as anchor and produce a news show. She graduated CU Boulder with a bachelors degree in Broadcast News. Her favorite moment was putting together a news package about Colorado's Prairie Rattlesnakes, where she went out into the field and filmed wild rattlesnakes - most of them bit the camera lens, both exhilarating and terrifying!
When she isn't working on her career, Nathalie is often traveling the world in search of adventure, culture, and wildlife. Her love for animals and traveling brings her to some of the most exotic and rugged locations in the world, where she can interact and learn about local wildlife and cultures. But, a serene trip to Europe to take in the cafe culture is also up her alley - it depends on her mood!
During the two day seminars, veterans will learn skills that include creating …
