Alexa Ashwell joined WDTN-TV in April of 2011. She came to 2 NEWS from WVVA-TV in Bluefield/Beckley, West Virginia, where she served as an Anchor/Mult-Media Journalist.
A Maryland native, Alexa graduated from the Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts in Baltimore. During that time, she interned with NBC's WBAL-TV.
Alexa graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations, with a minor in Government.
While at Millersville, Alexa competed on the University's NCAA Division II softball team.
