Jack Pohl has been with WDTN-TV since August 1995, and now serves as a 2 NEWS Sports Director and Anchor.

Pohl, a Dayton native who attended Wright State University, began his broadcasting career at Great Trails Broadcasting where you may remember him as the morning show personality on Z-93 with Kim Faris and the host of the "Gem City Sports Wrap" call in sports talk show on 1410 WING.

Once Jack moved from radio to television he served as the "play-by-play" announcer for 2 NEWS's live broadcasts of Wright State University basketball and learned the TV business from WDTN's legendary Omar Williams.

Over the years Jack has covered the area's biggest sporting events for 2 NEWS, Including multiple national championship games involving Ohio State football, NFL football, and major league baseball.

Jack enjoys covering the Bengals and Reds, but finds his most enjoyment comes from covering the Miami Valley's local teams.  Jack says "Over the years, The University of Dayton Flyers and the Wright State Raiders have been a blast to cover!".

However, Jack's biggest passion comes from covering high school sports where he serves as host (with Hutch Konerman) and producer  of Operation Football.  Jack has also been a part of the Penn Station Athlete of the Month program for nearly 10 years, and and has covered high school state championship games in nearly every sport..
