Kennan Oliphant joined WDTN-TV in October 2005. Currently, he is the Turn to 2 Investigative Reporter and News Anchor for 2News each Saturday and Sunday.

Kennan came to Channel 2 from WFIE-TV in Evansville, IN. Prior, he worked as a reporter for KNOE-TV in Monroe, LA and was an associate producer at WDIV-TV in Detroit, MI.

Kennan is an award-winning journalist who's won two EMMY awards, two Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, and a "Best Investigative Journalism Award" given by the Ohio Society of Professional Journalism.

Kennan graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Media, with a minor in Criminal Justice. While in school, he was voted Best News Anchor for his work at the university television station. Kennan is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Kennan hobbies include watching movies, reading, playing golf and tennis.
